Job Summary

A vacancy has arisen for a Flight Sergeant (Cyberspace ICT Mngr) to serve as Apprenticeship Centre Manager at RAF Cosford on Full Time Reserve Service (Limited Commitment) Terms and Conditions of Service (TCoS) with an initial proposed start date of being not before 08 December 2026 (or later subject to candidate status).

Job Description

  • Acting as Centre Manager and ensuring that all accreditation and administration processes are strictly adhered to and practices meet the required standards of Awarding Organisations Department for Education (DfE) and Ofsted.
  • Management of the Cyberspace Information Communication Technician Apprenticeship Standard. This is to include oversight of the Portfolio all reviews during training on-program assessment phase gateway and End Point Assessment (EPA) requirements.
  • Management of the Cyberspace CI Network Cable Installer Apprenticeship Standard. This is to include oversight through AES Digby Support Assessor & CI Leeming Support Assessor AES Phase 2 on-program assessment phase gateway and End Point Assessment.
  • Actively participate within professions related Trailblazer Groups and has the authority of HQ RAF Apprenticeships to act as Chairman on such groups.
  • In conjunction with Cyberspace App Ctr EO AO & Assessors ensure all Apprentice learner documentation is complete accurate scanned and uploaded to the MIS.
  • Development and maintenance of an effective on program Assessment and internal Quality Assurance (IQA) strategy.
  • Relevant documentation concerning CVs occupational competence copies of Assessor Internal Quality Assurance and additional qualifications are to be held on file for each member of staff.
  • Maintaining annual Continual Professional Development (CPD) for the role.
  • Acting as the Quality Assurance Manager ensuring all internal and external audits are adhered to at all times. This includes IQA practices and formative and summative assessments of assessors undertaking their roles with apprentices.
  • Operating computer facilities including use of word processing data management spreadsheets and graphic presentation packages.
  • Undertake additional duties as detailed by HQ RAF Apprenticeships.
  • Act as a Designated Officer representative for the E-portfolio DES/MIS and EPA contracts IAW AP7007 Part 4 Annex E Part 3.
  • Undertake IET Annual Self Assessment & 3 yearly Re-Accreditation requirements.
  • Undertake additional duties as directed by OC Cyberspace Apprenticeship Centre.
