The Software & Application Packaging Specialist is responsible for the endtoend packaging deployment maintenance and lifecycle management of enterprise applications across Amdocs global enduser computing environment.
What will your job look like
- Packaging customizing and deploying software applications using tools such as SCCM Intune and PowerShell to ensure seamless delivery to desktops laptops and virtual machines.
- Maintaining the global application catalog ensuring applications remain secure current and compliant with organizational standards.
- Translating business requirements into reliable and scalable application packaging solutions.
- Conducting Proof of Concepts (POCs) for new packaging technologies deployment models and automation tools.
- Performing advanced troubleshooting and rootcause analysis for application deployment failures collaborating with internal teams or vendors as required.
- Creating automated workflows and scripts to streamline repetitive packaging and deployment activities.
- Developing and maintaining highquality technical documentation including SOPs packaging standards deployment guidelines and process documents.
- Identifying opportunities for optimization modernization and automation across the software distribution lifecycle.
- Collaborating with EUC Security Infrastructure and Support teams to ensure highquality deployment and a seamless user experience.
- Using tools such as Systrack and Power BI to measure enduser experience and proactively improve application performance.
- Collect KPIs and ensure services meet baseline standards while implementing improvements.
- Creating Orchestration workflows for automated deployment pipelines.
- Providing 3rd-level support for applicationrelated issues across the organization.
All you need is...
- Minimum 3 years of handson experience in software packaging and deployment using SCCM and Intune must.
- Proven experience with application lifecycle management integrations and deployments in midtolarge enterprises must.
- Strong understanding of Active Directory Group Policy and enterprise network protocols advantage
- Strong knowledge of PowerShell App Deployment Toolkit (PSADT) advantage.
- Experience with macOS and application packaging advantage.
- Expertise in Windows OS (Windows 10/11 Windows Server 2012/2016) installation configuration and support.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (PowerShell Visual Studio or similar) and automation frameworks must.
- Strong analytical abilities for troubleshooting forecasting reporting and deriving deployment insights from complex datasets.
- Excellent written and spoken English must.
