Job Summary
Acuity is seeking a Building & Grounds Intern to assist with building and grounds maintenance for Acuity properties.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Performs general building maintenance / custodial tasks including cleaning painting and preventative maintenance.
- Maintains grounds including mowing fertilizing watering turf repair mulching and pruning.
- Plants fertilizes weeds and waters annual flowers.
- Performs landscape construction projects including planting and transplanting trees shrubs and perennials.
- Cleans and places interior silk plants and galleria displays.
- Shovels snow.
- Sets up and takes down special events including the Acuity Health Challenge Acuity FunFest and Town Hall venues.
- Regular and predictable attendance.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION:
High School diploma preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
Building and landscape maintenance experience preferred.
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:
- Takes initiative.
- Understands instruction asks questions and receives feedback.
- Willingness to work outdoors in any type of weather.
- Possesses a record of safe work habits.
- Drivers License preferred.
