Join the Warm Valley Health Care Team - Patient Registration Receptionist

Warm Valley Health Care is seeking a dedicated and friendly Patient Registration Receptionist to be the welcoming face of our clinic in Fort Washakie WY. As the first point of contact for patients and visitors youll play a key role in creating a warm and professional atmosphere while handling essential administrative functions that support the delivery of high-quality care.

In this role youll be responsible for greeting patients visitors and staff with courtesy professionalism and cultural sensitivity. You will register new and returning patients accurately entering demographic insurance Tribal and contact information into the electronic health record (EHR). Youll also schedule confirm and reschedule appointments in coordination with providers and clinical staff to ensure optimal patient care. Answering and directing phone calls promptly taking messages or routing calls as needed will be part of your day-to-day tasks.

Additionally you will ensure patient forms are completed updated and scanned into the EHR system all while maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA regulations and clinic policies. Your collaboration with nursing and provider teams will be essential to maintain the flow of patients through the clinic ensuring timely care and efficiency.

The ideal candidate will also assist with clerical duties such as filing faxing and copying participate in staff meetings and contribute to quality improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.

  • Actively participate in staff meetings training and quality improvement initiatives.

  • Promote a culturally respectful environment in line with the values and traditions of the community served.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary coursework in office administration or healthcare preferred.

  • Minimum of 1 year of customer service or front office experience preferably in a healthcare setting.

  • Knowledge of medical terminology and basic insurance processes is desirable.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel Outlook) and comfortable learning new software systems.

  • Strong organizational communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks prioritize effectively and work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Commitment to confidentiality and patient privacy.

  • Experience or familiarity with Native American cultures and communities is highly valued.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs. occasionally (e.g. files office supplies).

  • Frequent interaction with patients requires clear communication.

Work Environment:

  • Professional healthcare clinic environment with regular interaction with patients staff and community members.

  • Occasional flexible scheduling (evenings/weekends) may be required based on clinic needs.
