JOB SUMMARY:
The Event Operations Intern will support the planning and execution of a variety of events around Universal Orlando Resort. The experience will provide an opportunity to gain knowledge of the event life cycle (ideation to day-of execution working with partners and post-event recaps). This role will provide exposure to various leaders and hourly team members to gain knowledge of different aspects of the hospitality/theme-park industry. Intern will learn the importance of cross-departmental relationships time management and problem-solving.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supports operational planning efforts for different range of events that include but are not limited to internal revenue marquee youth and production.
- Assists with completing event logistics tracking department trends and data and handling post event recaps.
- Assists with daily administrative responsibilities and complete tasks required during the event planning phases like Team Member follow up compile information from a prospectus and create reports to provide to leadership.
- Participates in management shadows partner shadows and project-based work.
- Collaborates between multiple departments and builds networking skills across the resort.
- Supports updates to the Playbook site reviews documents updates Standard Operating Procedures and creates standardization documents for area of focus when needed.
- Understands and actively participates in Environmental Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy procedures training and Team Member involvement activities.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- In pursuit of an Associate Bachelor or Graduate degree at an Accredited Institution with current class standing of Junior or above.
- Minimum cumulative 2.8 GPA is required.
- A transcript is required upon application.
PREFERRED SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:
- Preferred majors include: Event Management Hospitality Management or similar.

- This internship will be an in-person experience based in our Orlando offices.
- Interns must be currently pursuing a degree at an accredited university and must have a graduation date later than December 2026.
- Universal Orlando does not provide housing. Interns are responsible for their own housing and transportation.
- All of our internships are paid and you may also qualify for housing financial assistance if applicable. The Recruiter will provide specific eligibility details.
