Were looking for an Assistant Law Costs Draftsperson to join our dynamic National Costs Department based in London. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with an eye for detail a passion for numbers and a strong interest in law. Whether youre just getting started in the legal costs world or already have some experience under your belt well support you every step of the way.
In this role youll play a key part in recovering legal costs across a variety of personal injury cases from RTA to EL/PL and disease claims. Youll work closely with our skilled team to help ensure our clients receive fair and accurate cost recovery contributing to the continued success of our wider legal services.

- Assisting in the preparation of N260s Costs Budgets (Precedent H) Form Hs and formal Bills of Costs
- Undertaking negotiations to recover costs on the best possible terms
- Providing high-quality cost support to fee earners
- Liaising with external advocates preparing bundles and attending assessment hearings where needed
- Monitoring court deadlines managing your caseload and contributing to team targets
- Staying up to date on the latest legal developments and cost rules

- Great attention to detail and solid organisational skills
- Strong communication both written and verbal
- Comfortable working independently and collaboratively
- Confident IT user especially with Microsoft Word and Outlook
- GCSE Maths & English (Grade C or above)
- Enthusiastic trustworthy and willing to learn
