Discover Impactful Work:

The Master Scheduler is responsible for developing and managing the weekly and long-range production schedules for the Kit Production team. This role ensures the efficient use of resources alignment of production plans with material availability and adherence to customer and internal deadlines. The Master Scheduler acts as the key liaison between Production Supply Chain and Planning teams to balance capacity resolve constraints and optimize workflow across all manufacturing work centers.

Responsibilities

  • Develop publish and maintain the master production schedule for all Kit Production work centers ensuring alignment with demand requirements and capacity constraints.

  • Level-load production schedules to optimize resource utilization minimize downtime and meet service level expectations.

  • Perform final material readiness assessments prior to work order release; initiate transfer requests for raw materials and ensure all batch record documentation is accurate and available.

  • Release and track work orders through manufacturing maintaining visibility to work-in-process inventory and identifying issues that may impact schedule adherence.

  • Collaborate closely with manufacturing quality and materials teams to proactively identify and resolve bottlenecks capacity limitations and supply shortages.

  • Monitor daily and weekly progress against plan adjusting schedules as needed to accommodate changing priorities equipment availability or material constraints.

  • Coordinate cross-functionally with Supply Chain Procurement and Warehouse teams to ensure on-time availability of required materials and components.

  • Communicate schedule updates risks and recovery plans to stakeholders providing clear visibility into production status.

  • Support continuous improvement by analyzing schedule performance metrics and contributing to process enhancements in planning scheduling and capacity management.

  • Participate in or lead problem-solving and root-cause analysis related to missed commitments material delays or production inefficiencies.

  • Provide recommendations for improving scheduling tools systems and methodologies to achieve best-in-class planning performance.

  • May be required to perform other related duties as assigned to support production and supply chain operations.

Key Requirements:

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent and relevant formal academic / vocational qualification

  • Previous experience that provides the knowledge skills and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 2 years).

In some cases an equivalency consisting of a combination of appropriate education training and/or directly related experience will be considered sufficient for an individual to meet the requirements of the role.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong understanding of production scheduling capacity planning and material requirements planning (MRP) principles.

  • Solid knowledge of manufacturing processes supply chain operations and cross-functional dependencies.

  • Excellent analytical problem-solving and critical thinking skills.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Effective communication and collaboration skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Demonstrated ability to interpret and act on production data KPIs and scheduling metrics.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications particularly Excel and PowerPoint; experience with ERP systems required.

  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in a dynamic production environment.

  • Familiarity with Lean or Practical Process Improvement (PPI) methodologies a plus.
