What youll build

As an iXp Intern for SAPmanaged Integration Services you will support our engineering organization by contributing to practical learningoriented initiatives across AI data and integration operations. With guidance from experienced engineers and product teams.

Position Title:SAP iXp Intern - Applied AI Intern

Expected Start Date: April 2026

Duration: 6 months

Working Hours: 20-40 hours/week (preferably 40 hours/week)

Location: SAP Plano Office TX (in-person)

In this role you will:

• Anomaly Detection & Log Intelligence
• Analyze integration logs and transaction patterns to detect anomalies or recurring failure trends.
• Support development of intelligent alerting mechanisms.
• Help generate actionable insights from historical integration data.
• Predictive Insights for Business Transactions
• Explore predictive models to forecast transaction failures delays or compliance risks.
• Assist in evaluating model performance and improving prediction quality.
• Work with domain experts to interpret model outputs into business insights.
• Conversational & Assistive AI
• Support development of AI assistants that help users troubleshoot integration issues.
• Assist in creating knowledge retrieval workflows to answer user queries.
• Contribute to improving reasoning summarization and recommendation logic.
• Research & Innovation
• Explore emerging AI/ML techniques relevant to enterprise integration.
• Prototype intelligent automation use cases.
• Present findings and proof-of-concepts to product or engineering teams.
• AI-Powered Document Intelligence
• Help improve accuracy of document mapping and validation processes.
• Explore automated schema mapping and semantic alignment techniques.
• Assist in reducing manual configuration effort using AI-driven suggestions.

What you bring

• Education: Min. Bachelor degree in Computer Science Information Systems or a related field with strong motivation to learn through hands-on industry experience.
• Eligibility: Must be currently enrolled or recently graduated (start date must be within 6 months of graduation date) from a coding academy/bootcamp apprenticeship associate bachelors masters or JD/PhD program
• Basic understanding of the software development lifecycle and a willingness to learn how real-world engineering integration and delivery processes work in practice.
• Exposure to collaboration and development tools and basic scripting (Python and/or JavaScript) with interest in deepening practical usage.
• Experience working on student projects internships or academic teams demonstrating the ability to collaborate take feedback and contribute reliably to shared goals.
• A proactive organized and detail-oriented mindset with openness to guidance and a strong desire to continuously learn and improve.
• A genuine interest in innovation collaboration and customer impact and the adaptability to learn and grow in a fast-paced evolving environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Fluent English language skills.

The BTP Integration unit within SAPs Business Technology Platform (BTP) is responsible for SAPs strategic integration platform products and cloud services. This includes SAP Integration Suitea market-leading enterprise integration platform-as-a-service (EIPaaS) used by over 14000 customers. It supports integration across heterogeneous and hybrid enterprise landscapes including A2A and B2B integrations API Management event-based integrations and connectivity with non-SAP applications.

In addition to direct customers our technology is embedded in SAP cloud applications serving customers indirectly. Our major engineering and operations hubs are located in India Germany Sofia and China. Product management teams are distributed across India Germany Canada and the US.

SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is 15 - 62(USD) actual amount to be offered to the successful candidatewill be within that range dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education skillsexperience scope ofthe role location etc. as determinedthrough theselection process.
