Pricing Analyst
Job Summary
This is a rare opportunity to work in a role where you will directly affect pricing for products across our market leading Financial Services business. As such you will be reporting directly to the Head of Pricing working within a highly skilled and supportive team.
Being highly adept using Microsoft Excel you will be instrumental in defining our pricing decisions across our product catalogue. Working with key people across the business you will be analysing scenarios to understand potential outcomes before providing pricing recommendations and presenting those proposals back to stakeholders. As such you will be comfortable with data modelling as well as stakeholder management and presenting recommendations.
Typical duties include:
- Work with the Head of Pricing & Forecasting to deploy and develop the pricing strategy
- Work with Head of Pricing & Forecasting to maximise identified markets and customer segments in terms of positive customer outcomes in
- accordance with the current pricing strategy
- Act as a key component in the bespoke pricing process providing timely analysis and clear recommendations
- Work with Product Insights Manager and Product analyst to understand what pricing changes are occurring in our market and why they are occurring
- Ensure pricing will drive customer value adhering to relevant regulation including consumer duty with end-to-end customer proposition in mind within front and back books
- Work with Product Managers to produce pricing outputs understanding scenarios and sensitivities around required changes
- Work with the Planning function to input future changes into the budgeting and forecasting process detailing what financial benefits will be brought
- Work with Treasury and Finance to understand and challenge inputs provided into the modelling process
- Production of data suite to understand key performance and risk indicators and use to support and influence discussions with key stakeholders
Qualifications :
- A strong competency of Excel
- Open and collaborative style; must be comfortable working in an environment where ideas are shared and challenged;
- Can demonstrate the ability to deliver in time sensitive scenarios
- Experience of working collaboratively with stakeholders at all levels
- Ability to collect data establish facts and draw valid conclusions
- Strong communication-internally and externally one-to one and in groups/presentations
- High level intellect-numeric and verbal reasoning
- Personal resilience-cope with many competing/conflicting demands and effectively prioritise workload
