JOB SUMMARY:

The Global Product team at Universal Destinations & Experiences drives strategies and digital capabilities that enhance Guest and Team Member experiences. As a Product Owner Intern you will support commerce initiatives across the product lifecycle from discovery and definition through delivery testing and implementation working closely with product managers designers engineers and business stakeholders in a primarily onsite environment.

Learning goals include:

  • Translate user and stakeholder needs into clear user stories acceptance criteria and end-to-end requirements
  • Learn Agile fundamentals including backlog grooming sprint planning and team ceremonies
  • Build practical skills in solution documentation and test design (scenarios cases UAT support)
  • Gain experience collaborating across UX/UI engineering QA architecture and operations
  • Understand how to define and use KPIs and feedback loops to measure product success and guide enhancements
  • Improve confidence in professional communication including capturing decisions presenting summaries and contributing to discussions
  • Explore product ownership in a scaled enterprise and how digital solutions impact satisfaction efficiency and reliability

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Requirements & documentation: Document end-to-end solution flows business rules and functional/non-functional requirements; capture site-specific needs in partnership with onsite stakeholders.
  • UX/UI collaboration: Support UX/UI work by translating high-level feature needs into clear experience requirements and documenting decisions and updates.
  • User stories & backlog support: Draft and maintain user stories and acceptance criteria; support backlog grooming and sprint planning by organizing open questions dependencies and scope.
  • Agile participation: Attend and contribute to core onsite ceremonies (standups planning refinement reviews retrospectives); capture notes and action items and convert them into updated stories/docs.
  • Testing & validation: Create test scenarios and test cases; support development-cycle validation and UAT readiness by tracking issues documenting results and confirming alignment to requirements.
  • Implementation support & continuous improvement: Partner with change management/operations to ensure readiness; help define success measures (KPIs) and document post-release learnings for future backlog improvements.
  • Other duties: Follow Environmental Health & Safety policies and perform other assigned tasks in support of the team.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • In pursuit of an Associate Bachelor or Graduate degree at an Accredited Institution with current class standing of Sophomore or above.
  • Minimum cumulative 2.8 GPA is required.
  • A transcript is required upon application.

PREFERRED SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelors or Masters degree in Business Technology Hospitality Design Product Management Marketing Management Information Systems Industrial Engineering Computer Science Software Engineering Human Computer Interaction or a related field
  • Strong interest in digital product development and user-centered design
  • Passion for creating meaningful experiences for users
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies is a plus

  • This internship will be an in-person experience based in our Orlando offices.
  • Interns must be currently pursuing a degree at an accredited university and must have a graduation date later than December 2026.
  • Universal Orlando does not provide housing. Interns are responsible for their own housing and transportation.
