Job Summary
What to expect
- Following established procedures is responsible for general processing of purchase orders for supplies equipment and services as directed by the Purchasing and Materials Services Director. Contacts vendors to obtain quotes purchase materials supplies equipment all categories of non-food goods in an optimal manner consistent with fair and ethical practices. Provides routine administrative support related to the Oracle procurement module Amazon Business account Cobblestone Contract Management Software and all systems related to procurement. Coordinate with Community Services staff on sourcing and ordering supplies. Collaborates with accounting to resolve AP issues. Serves as a resource for Sheppard Pratt personnel regarding products and purchasing processes and operations. Participates in vendor RFPs and special projects within the Purchasing Department.

Pay for this position is determined on a number of factors including but not limited to years and level of related experience.
What we need from you
- Bachelors degree in Business or related field. Requires skills in MS Word Outlook and Excel
- Two years of institutional purchasing experience to demonstrate ability to place and expedite orders and prepare maintain and monitor purchase requests and purchase orders for a large facility.
