Job Summary
Overview
Challenger Lifts Inc. a division of Snap-on is seeking a candidate that would be responsible to mig weld automotive lifts and lift components as assigned by the Production Supervisor.
Responsibilities
- Mig weld components for automotive lifts
- Place components on paint line
- Drive forklift when needed
- Assist in implementation of 6S initiatives and activities with an emphasis on safety
- Suggests and assists in process improvements which assures safety quality and efficiency is built into the process
- Assist in assembly and fabrication processes as needed
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Ability to be certified in mig welding in the horizontal position
- Ability to read a tape measure
- Basic blueprint reading
- Excellent communication skills. Must be able to communicate at all levels of the organization
- Strong understanding of process interaction
- Strong problem solving skills
- Understanding general manufacturing
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time and work extended hours
- Must be able to periodically lift up to 50 pounds
- Align with the Snap-on mission statement
- Must wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) which includes; Hi-Vis Vest Steel Toe Shoes Safety Glasses or Prescription Safety Glasses (If Applicable) Gloves (If Applicable) and Ear Plugs (If Applicable).
- Must adhere to safety guidelines
