The Department of Pathology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham ( UAB ) is pleased to announce a new recruitment for an additional academic surgical pathologist and/or cytopathologist. We are inviting applications from qualified candidates at all ranks for a full-time tenure earning/tenured position through the Department of Pathology School of Medicine.
Required Qualifications
The candidates should have an M.D. (or M.D. Ph.D.) Board Certification in Anatomic Pathology; board certification in Cytopathology and/or fellowship training in bone/soft tissue pathology will be a plus. The candidate should be eligible for a license to practice medicine in Alabama. The successful candidate beyond starting Assistant Professors should have a national reputation in academic pathology and a track record of a competitive basic translational and/or clinically focused research program.
Preferred Qualifications
Subspecialty expertise will be favorably considered.
