Work Environment
You will join the Alstom Digital Foundry in Villeurbanne (France) Alstoms specialized center for the development of the digital solutions to be used in Alstom railway applications: Passenger experience Railway Operations Asset management.
As a System Application Architect (SAA) you act as the System front office on behalf of the Solution in all phases of Contract Execution and as technical interface between the Solution and the Projects with the aim to provide fluidity in the implementation of the delivered System.
Your Mission
- Identify compliance gaps between customer requirements and reference platform baselines.
- Define efficient technical solutions for each gap (QCD-driven) and drive internal design reviews with métier stakeholders.
- During bids gather gap quotations and record evidence from all development stakeholders.
- During projects consolidate gap QCD with the Program/System Engineering Manager and Program Manager; regularly update platform gap costing and support scope-freeze milestones.
- Provide technical support to anticipate deployment issues and keep solutions simple robust and aligned with platform deployment standards.
- Monitor alignment of project choices with platform roadmap and delivery plan; keep program leadership informed of decisions impacting baselines.
Your Profile
- Engineering degree or equivalent on-the-job experience (Systems Engineering Electronics/Electrical Computer Science Telecoms or Industrial Control Systems appreciated).
- 5 years on industrial projects with a strong technical background in software-intensive distributed control systems.
- Hands-on experience managing technical interfaces in multi-team contexts.
- Rigor autonomy and ability to rapidly grasp complex technical topics.
- System architecture mindset with strong abstraction technical writing and modeling skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills; ability to animate composite teams across locations; fluent English.
- Proactive drive to push topics across the organization and in front of customers.
