We are currently hiring for a Full-time Office Manager in Training position in Fort Myers FL. We are seeking a highly motivated positive individual to join our fast-paced accounting team. This role requires excellent organizational and leadership skills as well as close attention to detail and the ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly. Prior management experience is required. Once trained you will then become the Office Manager.
A qualified candidate will be expected to:
- Manage and oversee office staff including hiring coaching counseling disciplining and terminating etc.
- Oversee and manage day-to-day accounting office activity all the way through the month-end process
- Train clerks and assign them with daily tasks
- Understand the payroll process and related tax systems
- Oversee Vendor management and outsourcing
- Oversee Accounts Receivables
- Be responsible for all aspects of the general ledger
- Prepare analyze and reconcile monthly reports in a timely manner
- Inspect accounting records and schedules for efficiency and accuracy
- Assist in preparing documentation for external auditors
- Comply with local state and federal reporting requirements and tax filing
- Process daily bank deposits and bank transactions
- Work closely with the Controller and Department managers
- Perform other duties or projects as assigned.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Posses a Minimum of one year in a Managerial role
- Auto dealership experience preferred
- Experience with business applications and accounting software Reynolds & Reynolds & CDK preferred
- Background in accounting a plus full understanding of debits and credits
- Strong leadership and training skills
- Excellent communication skills verbal and written
- Excellent interpersonal skills to interact professionally with customers vendors and staff.
- Able to deal with confidential information appropriately
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure especially during month-end.
- Demonstrate the ability to cope with ambiguous and changing environments and remain calm under pressure
- Proficient in Excel
- Professional appearance and work ethic
