Job Summary

Electrical Foreman - Howick
Our client is looking for a skilled Electrical Foreman to oversee electrical maintenance and installations.

Responsibilities:

Carry out repairs and planned maintenance on all electrical equipment on site
Perform electrical installations on new equipment
Modify and improve existing equipment (with approval) to optimise capacity
Ensure legal compliance of all electrical installations and equipment
Manage a team of electricians assistants and apprentices
Diagnose faults and repair machinery
Allocate equipment and materials for daily tasks
Ensure adherence to safety standards
Coordinate monitor and report on team performance
Plan daily work schedules and ensure effective shift cover
Manage overtime within budget
Control and order critical spare parts

Requirements:

Electrical Trade Test
Minimum 10 years supervisory experience
Wiremans Licence (Advantageous)
NTC6 in Electrical Engineering
Strong knowledge of electrical and electronic equipment and industry tools
Understanding of power reticulation control systems and equipment ranging from 12V to 11KV
Fault-finding and problem-solving on industrial machinery
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
Experience with transformers PLCs and Variable Speed Drives
Knowledge of instrumentation and equipment repairs
Ability to work under pressure in dusty conditions and extended hours
Willing to perform standby duties
Ability to switch and fault-find on MV switchgear
