The Honeywell Aerospace Accelerator Team is seeking a Sr. Director of Six Sigma to lead and support Lean Six Sigma initiatives across the organization. Driving a culture of continuous improvement is a fundamental principle and strategy of the Honeywell Accelerator operating systems. Every process and system within Honeywell Aerospace has continuous opportunity to improve and drive productivity and the lean six sigma methodology provides a mechanism to realize this productivity and provides a significant competitive advantage for Honeywell. This position will play a critical role in developing and delivering Lean Six Sigma training material driving continuous improvement and fostering a culture of problem-solving and operational excellence



Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and implementation of the Honeywell Accelerator Lean Six Sigma program and continuous improvement framework. Drive to a single integrated Accelerator Lean Six Sigma program across all Aerospace functions.
  • Create alliances through Honeywell Aerospaces SBGs and functions aligned with Honeywell Aerospaces Accelerator objectives to develop a Lean Six Sigma foundation
  • Partner with the Aero Functional leads to support the Accelerator Six Sigma initiatives and foster a culture of continuous improvement partnering with the business to tackle critical problems.
  • Establish governance practices including the Lean Six Sigma Scorecard and learning warehouse repository. Lead the cross functional Lean Six Sigma council
  • Work with the subject matter experts to develop and evolve the training material aligned with Lean Six Sigma methodologies specifically Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) Black Belt & Master Black Belt coordinating with Corp ISC Lean Master on Green Belt (GB) and Shared Expert materials.
  • Drive the development of robust training curriculum of interactive training and live delivery of classroom instruction. Developing and advancing Lean Six Sigma trainings to align to business and tracking of training activities.
  • Coordinate Lean Six Sigma knowledge retention and the sharing of best practices via hands on participation and coaching activities.
  • Provide support and mentoring for Lean Six Sigma projects to drive business value.
  • Partner with the Lean Six Sigma Engineering & ISC Teams to ensure all employees meet Lean Six Sigma training and certification requirements.

Qualifications

You Must Have

  • Black Belt or Master Black Belt certification (strongly weighted)
  • Deep mastery of advanced Six Sigma tools (DOE ANOVA MSA regression nonnormal data multivariate analysis)
  • 10 years of Lean Six Sigma leadership experience at enterprise scale
  • Proven ownership of integrated Lean Six Sigma programs
  • Proven program management and operational leadership skills
  • Experience designing and deploying governance (scorecards councils repositories)
  • Demonstrated success influencing senior leaders in complex matrixed organizations
  • Experience scaling training programs globally (BB DFSS MBB)
  • Experience mentoring Master Black Belts / Lean Master preferred
  • Proven application of Master Black Belt tools across Operations and Business processes including Regression ANOVA handling Non-Normal Data Multi-variates Correlations Design of Experiments Measurement Systems Analysis (MSA) Restricted Randomizations
  • Proficient in Minitab or other statistical tools; data mining tools (Celonis)
  • Ability to rapidly adapt Lean Six Sigma frameworks to Aerospace environments
  • Bachelors degree required; advanced degrees and credentials valued as risk reducers
