As a Student Human Resources and Legal you will contribute to meaningful initiatives by supporting key projects and tasks across HR and Legal teams. Youll be part of teams that genuinely value fresh perspectives and give you hands-on experience. Whether you are helping with initiatives participating in workplace projects or assisting the broader HR and Legal teams with high priority tasks youll gain exposure that goes far beyond a typical summer job.

HERES HOW YOULL CONTRIBUTE:

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Recruitment

  • Conduct guideline-based resume screening for defined roles across the business.
  • Coordinate and distribute Predictive Index and sales assessment links to candidates.
  • Develop and customize interview guides.
  • Create and manage campus outreach and career fairs participation calendar to support FCTs recruitment initiatives.
  • Prepare and support reporting requests.

Onboarding/ Offboarding

  • Coordinate new hire swag including tracking and consolidation.
  • Support with onboarding/ offboarding tactics and associated surveys/ data gathering.
  • Support HR programs events and initiatives.

Other HR Support

  • Assign cases to the relevant HR areas.
  • Prepare employment verification letters for employees upon request.

Legal Support

  • Assist with populating our Coupa contract management software platform with existing contracts including review of agreements to identify appropriate tagging of certain input fields. This project would also include identifying existing obligations under certain agreements and notifying stakeholders on upcoming deadlines renewals or other ongoing requirements.
  • Work with the Corporate Underwriting team to help populate a developing AI solution which helps modernize decision-making through training of the AI platform.
  • Work with Compliance to help manage the day-to-day tasks involved in our compliance calendar including regulatory filings and gathering of information from various internal groups to help prepare for filings.
  • Work with our existing IP and trademark portfolio to help with decisions on renewals opposition to third party applications and terminations of existing marks.
  • Work with our legal administrative assistants to help manage payment processing of outside counsel spend

HERES WHAT YOULL BRING:

  • Currently enrolled at a university level (or equivalent) program in Human Resources or related field such as Business Administration or Paralegal program.
  • Strong attention to detail with a process-oriented mindset
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize manage multiple tasks and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Professional demeanor and able to exercise discretion while handling confidential information.

Total Direct Compensation:

Any pay range is in $CAD. The stated pay range reflects the total expected compensation for this role (e.g. base pay plus any expected incentives or allowances where applicable)
