This role leads the creation and delivery of engaging and vibrant events and authentic cultural programming that showcase local talent build strong community connections and enhance the citys overall vibrancy and livability. Qualifications :
Education/Training
- Degree in Arts and Culture Management Events Management Cultural Planning Recreation and Community Engagement or a related field combined with an assessable combination of training and related experience.
- Event management or project management training.
- Must possess and maintain a valid Class 5 drivers license and must produce and maintain a clean drivers abstract as per City policy.
- Must possess and maintain a valid Emergency First Aid with CPR certification.
- Must possess and maintain a criminal record and vulnerable sectors check.
Experience
- Minimum of five (5) years related experience in special event management including the planning and coordination of outdoor events live music or festival-style programming within the last seven (7) years.
- Two (2) years related experience working collaboratively with the arts and culture community in developing and delivering arts and cultural programs events and initiatives including building and maintaining partnerships with community organizations within last seven (7) years.
- One (1) year supervisory experience within the last five (5) years.
