The Role
Due to strong business growth and a robust pipeline of work we are seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer with demonstrated experience in site investigations and construction phase services to join our Geotechnics team in NSW. The role will support the delivery of major transport energy and water infrastructure projects across the region.
We welcome applicants based in North Sydney Parramatta Newcastle or Wollongong.
Key Responsibilities
- Delivery and project management of site investigation works across major infrastructure projects - roads railways energy and water.
- Data interpretation and providing engineering reports and recommendations based on investigation data.
- Contribute to business development including proposals and client engagement.
- Enhance SMECs reputation locally and globally through technical excellence and highquality project delivery.
- Develop and maintain strong enduring relationships with new and existing clients.
- Provide project governance and oversight ensuring projects meet quality schedule and performance expectations.
- Support regional leadership in fostering a highperforming team culture focused on capability development collaboration and retention.
About You
- Degree in Geotechnical Engineering Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- 6 years experience in geotechnical engineering ideally within infrastructure.
- Proven experience in geotechnical site investigations and construction phase services.
- Candidates with NSW Slope Risk Assessment accreditation will be strongly considered however not essential.
- Strong project management skills including client management and delivery oversight.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work across diverse multidisciplinary teams.
- Willingness to undertake travel and participate in site-based delivery teams.
