DESCRIPTION OF WORK:

The North Carolina Senate is seeking a highly qualified professional to work as a Legislative Clerk in the office of a Republican Legislator. Legislative Clerks assist Legislators also known as Legislative Members of the Senate in fulfilling their public obligations by providing support services in the areas of administration communication research and public relations. This position requires a high level of organization and accountability; as well as the ability to perform independently and maintain composure in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
This position is a permanent full-time position. Days of work are typically Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. However when the Senate is in session evening work may be necessary on Monday through Thursday and occasionally weekend work may be required as the job duties demand based on the needs of your Member. This position is under the direct supervision of the Senator and has no direct supervisory responsibilities unless requested by the Member to assist in the supervision of an intern.
