The Mission

You will work in the dynamic and challenging environment of Payment. We operate according to a Scrum development process with two-week sprints and strongly believe in the DevOps approach to delivering IT solutions. We strive to have the high-quality mission-critical software delivered in time using iterative development with regular milestone reviews with stakeholders following the INGs agile way of working to reduce surprises in what we build.

The Order Manager As A Platform is responsible for:

• Building internal and external OMaaP APIs;

• Creating orders for execution and routing them to the payment engine;

• Warehousing orders until they are executed;

• Tracking the status during the entire life-cycle of an order;

• Reporting the status of an order through direct and assisted channels.

The future of the OMaaP is really interesting and contains many challenges and opportunities. For example processing instant payments and exposing APIs to the outside world.

We are looking for a QA Engineerwho will also act as theScrum Master (Technical Product Owner)for an engineering squad. This is a hybrid role combiningtechnical leadershipprocess ownership andteam facilitation.

The ideal candidate has a strong background insoftware quality assurance experience withautomation and performance testing frameworks(e.g. Gatling Karate JMeter K6 RestAssured Cypress etc.) and a solid understanding ofAgile delivery practices.

Your day to day:

Responsibilities as Leader QA

As the QA lead you will be accountable for driving our quality strategy and elevating testing practices across the project.

• Establish and champion QA standards testing frameworks and quality best practices.

• Guide mentor and support QA engineers enabling them to grow technically.

• Evaluate current testing flows and propose improvements to efficiency coverage and reliability.

• Design and oversee test automation strategies using modern tools
  (experience with Gatling/Karate is a plus but similar experience is fully acceptable).

• Define performance testing strategies and ensure systems meet scalability needs.

• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD and optimize for stability speed and flakiness reduction.

• Drive defect management root-cause analysis and continuous process improvement.

• Ensure quality is embedded throughout the SDLC (shift-left approach).

Responsibilities as a Scrum Master (Technical PO)

In your Scrum Master/Technical PO capacity you will support the team in planning alignment and delivery.

• Facilitate Agile ceremonies: sprint planning refinement daily standups reviews retrospectives.

• Maintain a healthy ready and well-documented backlog.

• Help translate technical needs into clear user stories and acceptance criteria.

• Work with developers architects and the business to refine scope and ensure technical clarity.

• Track team progress identify impediments and ensure timely resolutions.

• Promote continuous improvement team transparency and predictable delivery rhythms.

• Serve as a bridge between project needs and technical execution.

What youll bring to the team

• 8-12 years of experience in software QA (manual & automated).

• Strong understanding of QA methodologies testing types and quality processes.

• Experience with automation frameworks (e.g. Karate).

• Experience with performance testing tools (e.g. Gatling).

• Hands-on experience with microservices REST APIs CI/CD and git-based workflows.

• Prior experience mentoring or leading QA engineers.

• Strong Agile knowledge; previous involvement in scrum facilitation.

• Excellent communication ownership and stakeholder coordination skills.

• Fluent in English.

Nice to have

• Experience withTDD BDD or ATDDtesting methodologies in complex system landscapes.

• Familiarity withSEPA CT SEPA DD Instant Payments TIP CT INT CT and formats such asPAIN MX XML JSON.

• Exposure to performance optimization within high-throughput transaction systems.

• Hands-on experience withmonitoring observability or log analytics tools for validating production behaviour.

• Certifications inSoftware TestingPayments orCloud/DevOpsdomains.

• Background with contract testing.

• Experience defining technical requirements or acting as a technical PO.
