Finance & Controlling Manager (mfd)

• Accounting & Financial Operations
  • Pre-accounting and invoice workflows in Finway
  • Coordination with external accounting in DATEV (SKR04)
  • Accounts receivable management (invoicing payment tracking)
  • Support monthly and annual financial statements (HGB)
  • Support revenue recognition and accrual topics (SaaS subscriptions milestone-based projects)
• Controlling & Budgeting
  • Support and progressively take ownership of the annual budget process
  • Prepare actual vs. budget analyses
  • Contribute to rolling forecast updates
  • Support business plan updates
• Reporting & Liquidity
  • Prepare monthly management reporting
  • Support liquidity planning and cash flow monitoring
  • Ensure consistency between accounting data and reporting models

• Degree in Business Administration Finance or Controlling
• 3-5 years of professional experience in accounting and/or controlling
• Solid knowledge of HGB
• Experience with DATEV; Finway experience is a plus
• Strong Excel skills
• Interest in financial steering and SaaS business models
• Structured and reliable working style
• Growth mindset and willingness to take increasing responsibility
• Flexibility to support other units in urgent need

Kipu Quantum is a German startup focused on quantum computing with offices in Karlsruhe and Berlin. We specialize in developing quantum algorithms tailored for specific applications and hardware. Our solutions help various industries including pharmaceuticals chemicals logistics and finance to tackle complex problems using existing quantum hardware. We aim to make practical quantum computing accessible by significantly reducing the time needed to achieve quantum advantage for real-world applications.

In December 2023 Kipu Quantum secured 10.5 million in seed funding led by HV Capital and DTCF (DeepTech & Climate Fonds) with participation from Entrada Ventures Quantonation and First Momentum Ventures. This funding will support the development of our hardware-specific quantum algorithms and accelerate the commercialization of our quantum solutions.
