We are hiring a Junior HW & SW Performance Tester to join our team at Edgeware in Stockholm.

Edgeware is a Stockholmbased technology company providing advanced systems for largescale delivery of modern internetbased TV services. We enable highquality streaming for operators and content providers across OTT IPTV WebTV VOD and CDN solutions.

Location

Stockholm Sweden Hybridflexible work model with onsite presence required whenever needed at our Edgeware offices.

What Youll Do

As a Junior HW & SW Performance Tester you will work closely with performance engineers QA specialists and platform developers. Youll contribute to both hardware and software testing activities and gradually take on more responsibility in performance tuning and automation environments.

Your role will include:

Hardware & SystemLevel Tasks

• Mount servers connect cables and prepare test environments
• Install and test disks CPUs network cards memory SSDs and NVMe devices
• Perform BIOS configuration and system tuning
• Troubleshoot hardwarerelated issues
• Support wiring and physical setup of test benches

Software Performance & OSLevel Tasks

• Perform HW and SW performance tests on Linuxbased servers
• Tune OSlevel parameters and support BIOSlevel adjustments
• Test Linuxbased applications and troubleshoot performance issues
• Execute and document performance functional and regression tests

Networking & Automation Tasks

• Work on networkrelated testing (IPv4/IPv6 routing bonding VLANs)
• Support automation activities and CI pipeline execution (Jenkins Git/GitHub)
• Write basic scripting (Python Shell) to support test execution
• Contribute to continuous improvement of tools and processes

Key Requirements

You can be early in your career as long as you bring strong technical foundations and motivation to grow.

Mandatory

• Minimum 6 months of professional experience in a technical engineering QA performance or systemsrelated role
• Good knowledge of Linux
• Troubleshooting mindset and basic system diagnostic skills
• Basic scripting (Python Bash/Shell)
• Interest in automation
• Basic networking knowledge (IPv4/IPv6 routing VLANs bonding netmasks)

Good to Have

• Experience with performance testing
• Understanding of server hardware architectures
• Knowledge of CPU PCIe SSD/NVMe
• Memory tuning (DDR4/DDR5)
• Network tuning skills
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins Git/GitHub)
• Scripting tools (Ansible)
• Programming exposure (C C Golang)
• Familiarity with AI concepts
• Experience installing servers disks NICs OS and applications
• Handson wiring and remote server management
