The role
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer Water Infrastructure for our Brisbane team to support local and national projects. You will possess a good base of electrical design experience with a passion and willingness to expand your experience and knowledge in the water infrastructure industry.
Our water team offers services across the full water cycle delivering major pipelines large pumping stations and advanced water wastewater and recycling treatment plants.
With a minimum of 4 years experience your core responsibilities include:
- Collaborating with Water Infrastructure team members contributors and stakeholders to deliver high quality and timely project outcomes
- Assisting Senior Engineers with detailed design of electrical instrumentation and control systems with a focus on LV electrical systems including schematics equipment layout motor control centres and communications systems SCADA instrumentation and PLCs.
- Contributing to technical reports and specifications for projects (design reports functional descriptions technical specifications)
- Applying project management principles in carrying out assigned tasks and accomplish project deliverables to the required standard in a timely manner.
With a track record of achievement in a similar role you will have gained your experience in an engineering design consultancy and have a passion for building trusted relationships to drive positive change and win new work.
Suitable applicants will have:
- Bachelors degree in electrical engineering.
- 4 years experience in electrical design (water or industrial sector preferred).
- Knowledge of low voltage electrical systems and relevant Australian Standards (additional knowledge in instrumentation controls systems telecommunications and SCADA preferred).
- Experience in computer aided electrical design (additional experience in computer aided drafting preferred).
- Experience working within multidisciplinary project teams.
- Well-developed communication and consulting skills with demonstrated experience in engaging with external project stakeholders and third parties.
