Job Summary
The successful candidate will be joining the Eurofins PSS team at a client site to support physical characterization for pharmaceutical products.
Analytical Chemist responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Physical testing of samples to support pharmaceutical formulation development
- Data processing interpretation and documentation
- Calibration and routine maintenance of laboratory equipment
- Laboratory support activities including weekly eye-wash checks shipping and chemical inventory.
Qualifications :
The ideal candidate would possess:
- A Bachelors Degree in Materials Science Chemistry Pharmaceutical Sciences or other related discipline with a minimum of three (3) years of industrial experience OR a Masters Degree with at least one (1) year of industrial experience
- Experience with physical characterization techniques such as Powder X-ray diffraction thermal analysis vibrational spectroscopy (FTIR Raman) and/or microscopy
- GMP experience is preferred
- Experience with powder characterization techniques to measure particle size powder flow and surface area.
- Experience with laboratory automation tools
- Experience with Microsoft office products (Word Excel)
- Ability to multi-task and be self motivated
- Ability to perform duties and responsibilities with minimal supervision
Additional Information :
The position is full-time first shift Monday-Friday with overtime as needed. Candidates living within a commutable distance of Rahway NJ are encouraged to apply.
