Job Summary

2026 ESY - Occupational Therapist

(2 Positions Total - K-8)

Qualifications (Required):

Valid Occupational Therapy License.
Successful experience as an occupational therapist.
Experience with students who have diverse sensory needs.
Ability to relate /communicate effectively with teachers students parents and administrators.
Related Service Providers must commit to being present for each day of the program. See dates below for more info.

Qualifications (Preferred):

Experience working in the Malden Public Schools.
ESL Licensed or SEI Endorsement.
Occupational Therapy License

Duties and Responsibilities:

Participate in two staff development meetings.
Collaborate with the Program Managers and Program Coordinator to provide direct OT (including sensory consult and/or fine motor) services to students on IEPs.
Complete planning logs for each session and maintain student attendance records.
Keep folders/portfolios with student work.
Perform other related activities as required by the program coordinator.
Write end of summer progress reports for each student serviced.

Duration:

Program Administration and Implementation 103 hours total to include the following:

Professional In-service Days (Date TBD 3 hours).
20 days Monday-Thursday from July 1 August 1 (7:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.).

Stipend: $40 an hour $4120 total (20 days/5 hrs 1 inservice at 3 hours)

Funding Source: Special Education
