Overview
The Senior Maintenance Planner Heavy Check (HC) & Special Visit Line (SVL) is responsible for forecasting building and routing all HC and SVL work packages. The position also requires Long Range Planning forecasting analysis scenarios and report findings to senior leadership.
Responsibilities
- Reports to Supervisor Heavy Check & SVL Planning and works closely with Sr. Manager Supplier Operations & Fleet Planning Manager Maintenance Planning and Supervisor Daily/Line Maintenance Planning.
- Coordinates with Senior and Daily/Line Maintenance Planners to optimize scheduled allocations against aircraft maintenance requirements.
- Primary corporate responsibility for tracking forecasting and reporting of Heavy Check (HC) and Special Visit Line (SVL) aircraft maintenance tasks/elements.
- Responsible for developing and updating master schedule(s) for all HC and SVL events for all company aircraft fleets.
- Performs basic data extraction/mining procedures using Showcase Query Microsoft Access or other available applications to forecast HC and SVL task expiration dates.
- Develops and maintains planning data in Aerostrat planning tool.
- Conducts analysis of data extracted from the company Aircraft Maintenance Computer System (AMCS) to determine Driving Check Due Dates (DCDD) for each aircraft and assigns their check-line allocations in addition to establishing induction sequencing for all HC and SVL ques.
- Using DCDD and other rules/parameters builds simulations which provide business case analysis tools for Tech Ops leadership to optimize check yield against operational risks and cost models.
- Builds all HC and drop-in work packages for all fleets using the companys AMCS and deliver work scope documents to Maintenance/Repair/Overhaul (MRO) vendors according to timelines and procedures set forth in applicable contracts/addendums.
- Acts as primary liaison with MRO Planning departments to coordinate check schedules span times and changes to previously delivered work packages.
- Acts as primary liaison between Endeavor Maintenance Planning and Endeavor MRO onsite Technical Representatives.
- Responsible for attending daily MRO update calls to answer any planning related questions and stay informed on aircraft status.
- Participates in and contributes to weekly meetings between Planning and Endeavor Materials to highlight upcoming schedule constraints and mitigate risks to executing deliverables.
- Builds all extended visit work packages for all aircraft using the companys AMCS and delivers work scope documents to appropriate company maintenance facilities in timely manner.
- Forecasts and coordinates the scheduling of both short term and intermediate maintenance requirements on company aircraft.
- Develops and maintains work packages and work orders for all scheduled maintenance tasks utilizing the companys AMCS.
- Develops long-range forecasts to identify peaks of demand and smooth workload accordingly by optimizing visits to maximize efficiency and mitigate aircraft down time.
- Works closely with production teams to ensure resources are in place for timely completion.
- Monitors aircraft status and hub operations routing/rerouting company aircraft to facilitate any operational irregularities while maintaining the integrity of the maintenance plan and established company performance objectives.
- Performs additional functions (essential or otherwise) as may be assigned from time to time.

Qualifications
- High School graduate or equivalent is required.
- Two years experience in aircraft maintenance planning required.
- Intermediate level computer skills are required.
- Experience working with Microsoft Office Excel Word and Outlook are required.
- Experience and knowledge of working with primary maintenance systems in a Maintenance Planning function is required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment handling a high volume of multiple tasks with a high degree of attention to detail in making timely operational decisions.
- Ability to communicate clearly in speech and writing.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Three years experience in aircraft maintenance scheduling/planning or a related field is preferred.
- Experience working with Aerostrat planning tool. Specifically importing data from AMCS creating events and creating long-range forecasting.
- Experience building and utilizing Tableau reports to assist with tracking.
- Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs specifically Microsoft Excel.
- Long-range strategic mindset and experience.
- Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license and two years experience in aircraft maintenance.
Work Environment & Physical Demands
- Position requires some physical exertion such as pulling pushing reaching bending standing walking and light lifting of boxes bags files etc. not in excess of 30 lbs.
- Work is performed in the Company OCC and requires professional contact with OOC personnel management staff and business relationships with outside vendors as well as the FAA.
- Must be willing to work onsite in the Endeavor OCC full-time.
- Must be willing to work nights weekends holidays and extra hours when necessary.
- Travel may be necessary (less than 5% per year).
