What this job involves:
This position supports the operation inspection and maintenance of mechanical electrical and plumbing equipment and systems across assigned facilities. The Maintenance Mechanic works both independently and alongside Engineers to perform preventive maintenance respond to repair requests and conduct facility inspections. The role involves hands-on work maintaining building systems interior/exterior areas and ensuring facilities meet client occupancy and operational standards.
Your day-to-day tasks will include:
Performing ongoing preventive maintenance and repair work orders on facility mechanical electrical plumbing and other installed systems and equipment
Conducting assigned facility inspections and due diligence efforts reporting conditions impacting client occupancy and operations
Completing general interior maintenance including patching painting rooms with professional appearance door repairs and minor carpentry work
Assisting the engineering team with maintenance and repair of building equipment and systems as directed
Moving machinery equipment and materials as requested including inventory management
Replacing lighting ballasts cleaning HVAC coils changing filters and belts
Updating work order status in real time utilizing CMMS systems such as Corrigo for all work performed
Disabling and enabling fire panels as needed completing hazard assessments and escalating problems to Manager in a timely manner
Attending work and safety meetings as required while maintaining compliance with all safety procedures and State County or City Ordinances Codes and Laws
Desired experience and technical skills:
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum 1-3 years of applicable working experience in general building repair and maintenance basic plumbing and basic electrical
Basic plumbing electrical and carpentry skills
Basic investigative skills to trace leak sources
Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
Valid state drivers license
Ability to lift up to 80 lbs and climb up to 30 ft ladders
Capability to perform frequent climbing bending kneeling and lifting
Must pass background and drug/alcohol screening process
Preferred:
Experience with CMMS systems such as Corrigo
Knowledge of fire panel systems
Salary: 55300 - $ 60300 / year
