Role Survey Manager - Infrastructure

Location Cheltenham

Purpose of the role:

We are looking for a Survey Manager to work on our new major highways project in Cheltenham on the M5 J10. You will lead project survey activities and support safe accurate delivery of works while maintaining survey control and providing clear data to track progress.

Please note that this role requires presence on-site 5 days per week.

What will you be doing:

• Follow Health Safety and Environmental standards and help create a safe supportive working environment for everyone.

• Lead and coordinate project survey teams offering clear guidance and practical support.

• Set up and maintain the site survey control network to ensure accurate delivery.

• Collect manage and share survey data to clearly track progress across construction stages.

• Carry out and oversee setting out topographical and as-built surveys including laser scanning and point cloud processing.

• Support earthworks and civils activities through accurate measurement and data interpretation.

• Work closely with Site Engineers BIM and GIS teams to communicate changes priorities and approvals clearly.

• Apply straightforward QA processes and manage permits to dig to ensure safe well-organised delivery

About you:

• Working towards or a member of CICES or RICS or have a similar qualification with 10 years surveying experience.

• Good knowledge of Maths and at least one Science subject from school.

• Able to communicate clearly and keep accurate records.

• Can use survey equipment (Trimble Leica Topcon) and software (AutoCAD Trimble Business Centre Leica Infinity) to make 2D and 3D drawings.

• Can create safe working plans like Method Statements and Risk Assessments and use the right survey tools for the task.
