ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Site Cost Control & Productivity
Own tracking and analysis of direct labor manufacturing hours routings and fixed production costs; ensure financial performance reflects true operational reality.
Highlight productivity gaps and support the site in identifying actions to improve output utilization and cost efficiency.
Maintain visibility on OCPH trends throughput and cost drivers; escalate risks early and propose practical solutions.
Support cost-out and productivity initiatives by grounding discussions in data and realistic operational assumptions.
Understanding our supplier base the material spend & performance metrics
Financial Close Forecasting & DisciplineDrive variance analysis during month-end close focusing on labor overhead absorption and productivity drivers.
Support site forecasting and budget cycles with realistic operational assumptions.
Ensure accuracy and rigor in financial reporting working closely with controllership and regional teams
Operational & Performance Analytics
Provide financial inputs to weekly site reviews S&OP discussions and monthly performance cadences.
Connect output delivery and backlog execution to financial performance and margin outcomes.
Help standardize reporting and KPIs across the site to improve clarity and speed of decision-making.
Inventory Capex & Balance Sheet Ownership
Monitor inventory levels valuation and obsolescence risks in partnership with operations and sourcing.
Support capital tracking assets under construction and financial follow-up on site investments.
Maintain strong controls through reconciliations audit support and adherence to accounting standards.
Operational Finance Support (Services & Execution)
Support backlog and operational forecast reviews at the site level ensuring alignment between operations and finance.
Coordinate with regional and COE teams on reporting cadence data accuracy and process alignment.
Digital & Continuous Improvement
Improve how the site uses data streamline reporting strengthen dashboards and reduce manual work where possible.
Support adoption of digital tools and standard processes that enhance visibility into cost and performance.
Qualifications & Experience
Required
CA CWA or Master degree in Finance Accounting Business Engineering or related field
510 years of experience in manufacturing finance cost accounting or plant finance
Strong understanding of standard costing variance analysis and fixed production costs
Experience partnering with operations or supply chain teams
Proficiency in AI Excel Power Query and financial reporting/ERP systems working experience of SAP preferred.
Strong analytical communication and problem-solving skills
Adaptability to lean and continuous improvement mindset
Preferred
Experience in a global or matrixed manufacturing environment
Familiarity with inventory management capital accounting and productivity metrics
Experience with continuous improvement or cost-out initiatives
Knowledge of GE Vernova / GEV financial or accounting standards (or similar)
