Job Summary
The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Combined Procedural Unit (CPU) provides comprehensive nursing care across ICU Pre-Operative and PACU settings. This hybrid role requires strong clinical judgment telemetry expertise and the ability to manage patients throughout various stages of procedural and critical care.
The RN is responsible for evaluating patients assisting physicians and delivering high-quality patient-centered care aligned with professional nursing practice standards.
Key Responsibilities
Assess plan implement and evaluate individualized patient care plans
Provide care in ICU Pre-Op and PACU environments as assigned
Perform therapeutic nursing interventions
Monitor and interpret telemetry rhythms
Assist with pre-procedural preparation and post-anesthesia recovery
Manage critically ill and post-procedural patients
Maintain accurate and timely documentation
Advocate for evidence-based practice standards
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
Deliver patient-centered care in alignment with clinical priorities
Required Skills & Experience
Minimum 2 recent years of:
Critical Care
Pre-Op
PACU / Recovery experience
At least 1 year of acute hospital experience
Strong Telemetry background
Telemetry Certification required
PACU or ICU trained
EPIC charting experience preferred
Preferred Experience
3 years of PACU experience
Education Requirements
ASN Required
BSN Preferred
Required Certifications & Licensure
Active New Jersey RN License or Multi-State Compact License
BLS (AHA)
ACLS (AHA)
PALS
Telemetry Certification
