About the Role
We are looking for a Cost & Value Analysis professional to drive factory cost optimization initiatives within a semiconductor manufacturing environment. This role focuses on analyzing manufacturing cost structures identifying value enhancement opportunities and partnering cross-functionally to deliver sustainable cost reduction and productivity improvements.
The position plays a key role in supporting year-on-year cost targets financial validation and strategic cost governance.
What You Will Do
Cost & Value Analysis
Perform factory overhead cost analysis (DL/IDL utilities maintenance indirect materials support functions).
Conduct package-level cost breakdown and value analysis (DFPC Die Free Package Cost per Kpc process cost drivers).
Identify non-value-added activities and improvement opportunities using structured cost models.
Support annual cost reduction targets and productivity initiatives.
Cost Reduction & Proposal Development
Develop cost-down proposals with clear financial impact assumptions and risk assessment.
Quantify savings from process improvements automation layout optimization and resource right-sizing.
Prepare business cases including CAPEX vs OPEX trade-off analysis.
Track and validate realized savings versus committed savings.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with Finance to align costing methodology assumptions and financial validation.
Partner with Manufacturing Engineering Planning Quality Supply Chain and Facilities to identify cost-reduction levers.
Facilitate cross-functional workshops to drive value enhancement initiatives.
Reporting & Governance
Prepare management-level reports on cost trends savings progress and variance analysis.
Support budget planning forecast reviews and strategic cost discussions.
Ensure cost initiatives are aligned with business priorities and compliance requirements.
What You Will Need
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelors Degree in Engineering (Industrial Manufacturing Mechanical Electrical or related field).
38 years of experience in manufacturing cost engineering industrial engineering or operations excellence (preferably in semiconductor or high-volume manufacturing).
Experience collaborating closely with Finance / Costing teams.
Experience in semiconductor process and manufacturing environments.
Professional certification such as Finance for Non-Finance (preferred but not mandatory).
Key Skills & Competencies
Technical & Analytical
Strong understanding of semiconductor manufacturing processes especially SOT SOD QFN and NQFN packages.
Solid knowledge of manufacturing cost structures (overhead variable and fixed costs).
Experience in package cost analysis DFPC and cost-per-unit modeling.
Strong analytical skills using Excel cost models and data analysis tools.
Business & Collaboration
Ability to translate technical improvements into measurable financial impact.
Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional communication skills.
Structured problem-solving with fact-based decision-making approach.
Comfortable engaging with Finance Operations and Engineering leadership teams.
