Job Summary

Koniag Operations Services LLC a Koniag Government Services company is seeking a Physical Security Specialist with a Secret security clearance to support KOS and our government customer in Annapolis MD. This position is for a Future New Business Opportunity. These key personnel positions are critical to maintaining facility security monitoring access control systems and ensuring proper emergency response protocols are followed. This role requires individuals who can maintain vigilance demonstrate sound judgment and respond effectively to various security Functions Responsibilities & Duties may include but are not limited to:The Physical Security and Entry Control Specialist will serve as a key member of the Security Operations Center team providing round-the-clock security monitoring and response capabilities. Core responsibilities include:Staff the central command and control center for the facility on a 24/7 basis through rotating shiftsMonitor all life safety and security systems including alarms access control and CCTV camerasProvide notification of incidents to emergency first responders and Defense Security Office (DSO) staffStaff access control points and reception desks to manage facility entryRespond promptly to fire security and maintenance alarmsConduct interior patrols of the building and monitor exterior areas including parking facilities via CCTVPerform exterior patrols when CCTV coverage is inadequate or inoperableControl personnel access and manage visitor protocols including operation of fixed and/or portable barriersDispatch security personnel as required to address security concernsMaintain detailed security logs and documentation of incidentsAdminister and maintain security databasesIssue badges to authorized users as defined by the GovernmentInput Visit Authorization Requests (VARs) in the DSO database or Joint Personnel Adjudication System (JPAS)Provide security clearance verificationPerform other administrative duties within the DSO security office as assignedSecurity personnel will work in rotations with a 30-minute overlap to ensure proper turnover between shifts. No security employee will remain on duty longer than 12 hours at a time and will have a minimum of 10 hours between and Experience:Required:Prior specialized experience staffing/operating a Security Operations CenterSECRET-level security clearanceExperience with electronic security systems and CCTV monitoringBackground in security law enforcement military or related fieldExperience with access control management and visitor processingKnowledge of security alarm systems and response protocolsRequired Skills and Competencies:Proficiency in operating HIRSCH/Velocity electronic security systems and CCTV security camerasAbility to learn and demonstrate thorough understanding of DSO Security Standard Operating ProceduresCapability to pass written/oral exams on security procedures within 15 business days of contract startStrong attention to detail and vigilance in monitoring multiple security systems simultaneouslyExcellent communication skills for coordinating with emergency responders and security staffAbility to maintain composure and make sound decisions during emergency situationsExperience with security database managementCapability to work rotating shifts including nights weekends and holidaysWillingness to complete two supervised eight-hour shifts prior to assuming independent dutiesAbility to maintain accurate security logs and documentationProficiency in managing visitor control systems and badge issuanceDesired Skills and Competencies:Prior military law enforcement or federal security experienceExperience with JPAS or similar security clearance verification systemsKnowledge of federal security protocols and proceduresPrior experience in a government security operations centerTraining in emergency response proceduresFamiliarity with integrated electronic intrusion detection systemsExperience with access control in classified or sensitive environmentsClearance Requirement:Secret Clearance Our Equal Employment Opportunity PolicyThe company is an equal opportunity employer.
