Job Summary
Activity Director (SNF/LTC) Birkwood Village of Fort Madison
Location: Fort Madison IA
Schedule: Full-time
Birkwood Village is looking for a passionate creative Activity Director to bring energy purpose and joy to our residents daily lives. This role is perfect for someone who loves working with seniors leading a team and creating meaningful moments in a long-term care and skilled nursing setting.
What Youll Do
Plan and lead engaging activity programs for SNF & LTC residents
Coordinate group and one-on-one activities that support physical emotional and social well-being
Manage activity budgeting calendars supplies and documentation
Supervise and support activity staff and volunteers
Collaborate with nursing social services and therapy teams
Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
What Were Looking For
Experience in Activities/Recreation in LTC or SNF preferred
Strong leadership and organization skills
Creative compassionate and resident-focused
Ability to build relationships with residents families and staff
CNA or Activity certification is a plus (or willingness to obtain)
