What Youll Do
As a Cardiac Sonographer at The Heart Institute youll play a critical role in helping diagnose and guide treatment for cardiovascular conditions through expert imaging. You will:
- Perform high-quality echocardiograms stress echoes and transesophageal echo (TEE) studies following established protocols.
- Collaborate closely with cardiologists to capture accurate clinically valuable images.
- Provide clear compassionate communication to patients about procedures and expectations.
- Ensure safe operation and maintenance of ultrasound equipment.
- Accurately document findings and maintain patient records in accordance with Mercy standards.
- Support the team in advancing best practices quality initiatives and imaging excellence.
What Youll Bring
- RDCS or RCS credential (or eligibility) required.
- Experience in echocardiography within a clinical or hospital setting.
- Strong knowledge of cardiac anatomy physiology and sonographic principles.
- Excellent patient interaction skills with a calming reassuring presence.
- Commitment to maintaining accuracy quality and compassionate care.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative heart care team.
