Day Shift: Monday- Friday 8 hours per day. Start time negotiable
Pay: $48.19/hr

We have a cutting-edge manufacturing plant in beautiful Victoria BC. Our team is world recognized for making core drill components for NASAs Perseverance Rover on planet Mars.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Fabricate maintain and repair press tooling for tungsten carbide production
- Fabricate maintain and repair press robot arms/end effectors
- Fabricate maintain and repair process fixtures for all departments
- Support plant equipment and maintenance department with machining services and technical support
- Press die-set maintenance support
- Continuous improvement of the process
- Technical support for production employees
Tool Maker Duties:
- Fabricate and maintain press tooling fixtures robot end effectors and equipment
- Machining milling turning (manual/CNC)
- Wire and sinker EDM experience is an asset
- EDM drill experience is an asset
- Use CAD/CAM software (primarily Autodesk Inventor & MasterCAM)
- Grinding
- Steel hardening
- Brazing
- Hand work fitting and polishing
- 3D printing
- Able to read/interpret engineering drawings and CAD drawings
- Able to understand written and verbal communication that ensures safety and accuracy in all aspects of the job
- Troubleshooting teamwork with others to resolve issues to ensure continuity of production
Education Training and Experience:
- BC Ticket as a Tool and Die Maker or interprovincial red seal certification
- Communicate effectively in English both written and verbal.
- Intermediate to advanced computer skills and CAD/CAM software experience.
- Good interpersonal and organization and teamwork skills.
- Able to work well within a team environment.
