DescriptionIn accordance with the Vision Purpose and Values and strategic direction of Island Health (Vancouver Island Health Authority) patient and staff safety is a priority and a responsibility shared by everyone; as such the requirement to continuously improve quality and safety is inherent in all aspects of this position.
Under the direction of the Revenue Applications Coordinator the Analyst Revenue Applications performs routine application duties associated with the maintenance of the Island Health s Revenue application. Provides application system training and support to Island Health staff for routine operational matters. Provides key support & direction during implementation and testing of new systems and revenue application system changes and upgrades. Works with clinical areas to ensure the integrity of billing information.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education Training And Experience
A level of education training and experience equivalent to successful completion of the third level of CMA CPA or CGA program and five years recent related experience.
Skills And Abilities
- Demonstrated knowledge of Revenue System Application experience within a health care environment is preferred.
- Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Use a personal computer and to use the Microsoft Office suite of programs.
- Use report-writing tools such as Crystal Reports and SQL.
- Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships will all levels of staff.
- Organize workload and work independently.
- Apply a strong sense of teamwork and principles of team building.
- Demonstrate good decision-making / problem solving.
- Work under pressure and deal with short time frames.
