Position Summary
The Associate Director NF1 Marketing Brand Lead will lead the all marketing activities of KOSELUGO brand in Japan as a brand leader. S/he will oversee the development and execution of strategy including disease awareness patient diagnosis branded communication peer-to-peer programming and non-personal promotion. This is a highly strategic role that requires seasoned commercial acumen scientific curiosity and growth mindset. The role also requires close collaboration with Sales Thought Leader Liaison Medical Affairs and other internal functions.
Principal Responsibilities
- Lead the cross-functional brand team and prepare the brand and organization for commercialization
- Serve as a brand champion and align the organization behind brand vision
- Set the strategic direction for the brand and achieve its revenue targets
- Continuously cultivate deep market and customer insights to enhance the strategy
- Lead all aspects of marketing programs and tactics from design to execution
- Effectively communicate with field sales teams to implement programs and tactics
- Engage thought leaders for insights speaking engagements and other commercial initiatives
- Define and evaluate relevant leading and performance indicators for the brand
- Set clear expectations and provide direction guidance and coaching for team member(s)
- Work with team member(s) on their long-term growth and development goals
You will need to have:
- Demonstrated expertise leading biopharma brand(s) in Japan
- Prior launch experience is required preferably in rare disease and/or specialty care
- Deep and well-rounded commercial experience in biopharma industry (e.g. sales marketing market research new product planning)
- Demonstrated expertise developing sound brand strategies grounded in customer insights
- Executional and operational know-how on marketing programs
- Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders
- Scientific acumen and comfort with clinically oriented dialogue
- Intellectual curiosity and growth mindset
- Passion for making a positive contribution to the rare disease community
We would prefer for you to have:
- Fluency in Japanese required; proficiency in English is preferred
- Prior people management experience is preferred
Education
- Bachelors degree required
- Advanced degree preferred (e.g. MBA MS)
