About the job:

Based in Brunssum The Netherlands you will join the Agency as we embark on a journey to transform our IT services to support NATOs Digital Endeavour. You will join CSSC which provides effective static and deployable Information Communications Technology (ICT) system repair and maintenance as well as ICT Hardware Asset Management (AM) services in support of NATO operations exercises and training. As the Central Warehouse for ICT Hardware within NATO CSSC is responsible for the supply activities associated with stock management procurement delivery receipt and through life management of all ICT hardware items. CSSC personnel are located within the central hub in Brunssum as well as the three Forward Support Points at Bydgoszcz Grazzanise and Wesel.

We are looking for a driven and enthusiastic Protective Security Assistant who will take on the following roles and responsibilities:

  • Applies and maintains specific security controls as required by organisational policy and local risk assessments.

  • Communicates security risks and issues to business managers and others.

  • Contributes to the development of policy standards and guidelines related to personal data legislation.

  • Provides expert advice and guidance on implementing personal data legislation controls in products services and systems.

  • Receives and responds to routine requests for security support.

  • Maintains records and advises relevant persons of actions taken.

  • Provides administrative support function to teams and meetings.

  • Takes an active part in team meetings.

  • Perform day-to-day administration and efficient execution of the CSSC OoS operations with particular emphasis on Physical Personnel Industrial and overall Business security as well as security of information access control visitor(s) management CIS security emergency planning and response;

  • Maintain CSSC Personnel Security records information in EBA ensuring staff possess appropriate level of security clearance for the post they are required to fill.

About you:

The valuable knowledge and experience that you bring to this role are:

  • Higher vocational training in a relevant discipline (such as Security Telecommunications Security Computer Sciences Cyber Security Forensics Security Cryptographic Security or information Assurance specialization) with 2 years post-related experience; or a secondary educational qualification with 4 years post-related experience;

  • Strong understanding of telecommunication networking and information technology solutions and products;

  • Proven experience in monitoring the performance of CIS project;

  • Solid knowledge and hands-on experience in conducting risk assessments identifying security vulnerabilities and implementing corrective actions;

  • Comprehensive understanding of military and governmental INFOSEC COMPUSEC and SECOPS security policies standards and procedures;

  • Knowledge of Personnel and Physical Security processes and procedures;

  • Knowledge and experience of handling Security related Office tools;

  • Fluency in English both written and spoken.
