Jefferson College of Nursing is seeking qualified applicants with experience in both medical-surgical nursing and psychiatric/mental health nursing to join our team. This full-time 12-month faculty position is part of the Undergraduate Program based at our Center City Campus in Philadelphia PA. The primary responsibility of this role is to uphold academic integrity through the planning implementation and evaluation of curriculum and student learning experiences across classroom laboratory/simulation and clinical settings.Job Description
Position Requirements
Masters degree in nursing required. Doctoral degree preferred. Candidates who
do not have a doctoral degree must be currently enrolled in a doctoral program
Eligible/current for licensure to practice professional nursing in the
Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
Med-Surg experience required
Psych/mental health experience required
Previous teaching experience preferred
Knowledge and skills related to innovative teaching methodologies curriculum
development evaluation and supporting students in their journey to become
advanced practice nurses or willingness to plan for acquisition of these skills
Utilize contemporary and innovative teaching methodologies in classroom
laboratory/simulation and clinical settings
Serve on College committee(s) as assigned and participate in College and
University activities throughout the year
Demonstrate evidence of ongoing clinical competency and participate in
professional activities related to area of clinical expertise
Participate in scholarly activities apart from personal academic pursuits
Participates in recruitment activities of the College and University
Interacts with co-workers visitors and other staff consistent with the core values
of the Enterprise
