Position Overview

An enthusiastic Marketing Business Communications or Commerce Co-op student is needed to assist the Product and Services Marketing Manager within the Energy Products and Services Group. This opportunity is best suited for candidates pursuing a Marketing Communications Business or Commerce degree in 3rd year or higher of a University Program. The position will be located at the corporate office in Surrey.

Responsibilities

Working in accordance with the organizations strategic vision core values and leadership competencies reporting to the Product and Services Marketing Manager this position is responsible to provide specialized support in various tasks and project-related assignments that relate to:

  • Assisting in planning organizing and managing scheduled activities.
  • Coordinating communication with multiple partners and stakeholders.
  • Tracking project timelines deliverables and logistics to ensure successful execution.
  • Supporting reporting documentation and evaluation of activities.
  • Coordinate internal and external resources on related projects and activities.
  • Working collaboratively with various groups in the organization including Communications and Conservation and Energy Management as well as with external stakeholders such as industry associations to manage the coordination and development of marketing initiatives.

Requirements

Minimum 3rd or 4th year student enrolled in a Bachelors degree of business marketing communications or a related field with intent to return to school after the co-op work term. Must currently be enrolled in a co-op program at an accredited post-secondary institution.

  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work collaboratively with diverse groups.
  • Creative thinker with strong skills in the use of business analysis financial evaluation methods and project management
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and to maintain collaborative relationships
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Proficient in MS Office specifically Excel Word Power Point
