Team Structure

The Responsible Business Adviser supports the firms responsible business strategy across inclusion diversity social impact sustainability and wellbeing. The role contributes to delivering programmes that strengthen our culture engage our people and enhance the firms reputation with clients and the community. The post holder provides coordination analysis stakeholder support and project delivery across key Responsible Business workstreams. While the role will report directly to the Diversity and Inclusion and Social Impact Manager for day-to-day line management the post holder will have the opportunity to work with managers across all workstreams.

Main Responsibilities

This role will support the delivery of the Responsible Business Strategy and Action Plan with a particular focus on communications and engagement reporting and managing partnerships and programmes across our sustainability social impact and inclusion work.

  • Responsible Business communications - Support the development of podcasts videos and written stories that bring our Responsible Business work to life. Draft internal and external communications including updating our Responsible Business website pages.
  • Reporting - Lead on client pitch and reporting requests working with managers across the team to produce responses and pitch content. Manage the development of the firms annual Responsible Business report. Support on preparation coordination and delivery of sustainability and diversity reporting and disclosure requirements.
  • Plan and organise Responsible Business events - Coordinate in-person activities webinars awareness campaigns and training workshops that drive strong engagement and impact.
  • Manage memberships and social impact partnerships Day-to-day management of social impact partnerships including engaging and managing volunteers facilitating programmes such as student mentoring work experience and reading programmes with our partner schools and coordinate all fundraising and volunteering for our Charity of the Year partnership.
  • Coordination of Committee meetings planning scheduling and minute taking for committees including the firms Charity Committee who oversee pro bono social impact and all charitable donations.
  • Budget monitoring and administration support the team to manage budgets including ensuring all payments are processed accurately and efficiently.

Attributes/Skills Required

The following skills are essential for performing the role:

  • A passion for responsible business and an ability to articulate your personal why explaining what motivates you to work in this area. Technical expertise is not essential at this stage; well support your learning.
  • Excellent organisation with the ability to manage multiple competing demands and working with a range of stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
  • Research and analytical skills including the ability to analyse and interpret data.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and stakeholder management.
  • Good end-to-end project management and coordination skills.
  • Embraces a variety of digital tools and technologies to drive team efficiency
  • Demonstrates discretion timely escalation of issues and the confidence to challenge processes that may benefit from improvement.
  • Experience of running events and engagement programmes is not required but would be beneficial.
  • Takes accountability for own work comfortable working independently and in cross-functional teams.
