What does the role involve
The Finance Officer plays a key role in supporting the organisations financial operations by managing the daytoday processing and maintenance activities across Accounts Payable Accounts Receivable and bank reconciliations.
Key responsibilities will include (but not limited to):
- Accounts Payable: processing supplier invoices creating supplier accounts responding to supplier queries and reconciling supplier accounts.
- Accounts Receivable: creating debtor invoices maintaining the invoice register and tracking and recording debtor payments.
- Bank reconciliations: completing monthly reconciliations for all bank accounts and processing related journals such as fees transfers and refunds.
- Assisting the Financial Accountant with the preparation of general ledger journals and monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
- Working with team members on system improvements and upgrades as required.
This role is based in our Mascot office and will work a hybrid model including two days in the office per week.

They will have a mix of the following qualifications skills and experience:
- Diploma of Accounting or Certificate IV in Accounting & Bookkeeping.
- 35 years of relevant finance or accounting experience.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft programs (including intermediate Excel) and familiarity with finance systems such as SUN Financials (Cloud) and expense management tools like ExpenseMe ProMaster.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical and numerical abilities.
- Well-developed time management and organisational skills with the ability to work independently.
