About the job Strategic leadership & group-wide impact

As Head of Group Strategy you will lead a team of 8 colleagues with backgrounds from Tier-1 consulting firms and C25 companies. We operate as an in-house consultancy working in structured project teams to ensure strong alignment between decisions made by Trygs Executive Board and their implementation across the business.

You will play a central role in enabling effective decision-making and advancing the strategic agenda by scoping and shaping relevant projects in close collaboration with the Business Units and Executive Board and ensuring tangible recommendations and clear implementation roadmaps.

Overall this role offers broad exposure to various disciplines within insurance as well as regular interaction with the Executive Board and senior leadership teams.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Scoping and delivering high-quality group-wide and BU-specific projects in line with Trygs current strategy working closely with senior business executives and the Executive Board to ensure actionable recommendations and clear implementation roadmaps
• Leading the development planning and execution of Trygs next corporate strategy playing a key role in shaping long-term value creation and defining group-wide priorities
• Generating market and competitive insights that inform strategic direction and ensure the organization stays ahead of industry trends
• Driving the strategic agenda by assessing and addressing Trygs most complex strategic issues preparing presentations and decision material and acting as a trusted advisor for top management
• Leading a high-performing strategy team fostering continuous learning and development for example by coaching team members in advanced problem-solving skills

About you Ambitious structured and engaging

Success in this role requires a strong mix of analytical skills business acumen a commercial mindset and interpersonal capabilities. You thrive in dynamic environments are motivated by responsibility and excel at translating complex information into clear actionable steps.

Critical requirements:

• 5 years of experience from a top-tier strategy consulting firm ideally complemented by corporate experience
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to structure and navigate complex issues
• Leadership experience including managing people and driving projects across multiple stakeholders will be considered an advantage
• High proficiency in written and spoken Danish and English
• An excellent academic record from a relevant masters degree program in economics business political science or a related field

It is also an advantage if you:

• Have experience working with top management or C-level executives
• Bring knowledge of the insurance or financial services industry

Your experience and grounded nature enable you to provide candid sparring to senior executives while building strong trust-based relationships with key stakeholders.
