Job Title: Senior Legal Counsel

Job Location: Düsseldorf Germany

Main Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage regional and cross border disputes litigation and arbitration matters.

  • Coordinate with subsidiaries external counsel and authorities to ensure efficient and effective case handling.

  • Conduct legal research draft legal documents manage evidence and oversee litigation/arbitration strategies.

  • Monitor litigation risks track case progress and provide pragmatic business oriented legal solutions.

  • Support crisis management and emergency response matters from a legal standpoint.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with external law firms and legal service providers.

  • Provide guidance and support to junior members of the legal team when needed.

Requirements:

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Successful completion of the First and Second German State Examinations (Erstes & Zweites Staatsexamen).

  • Admission as a Rechtsanwalt/Rechtsanwältin (or equivalent qualification).

  • At least 3 years of post qualification experience in litigation or dispute resolution gained in a law firm or in house environment.

  • Experience with cross border disputes and/or arbitration is strongly preferred.

  • Proven ability to independently manage complex cases and multiple stakeholders.

Skills:

  • Strong analytical skills and sound legal judgment.

  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.

  • Business oriented mindset with a practical approach to problem solving.

  • Fluency in English and in German required

  • Self driven detail oriented and able to perform effectively under pressure.
