The Clinical Trials Centre (HKU-CTC) is a leading clinical trials management platform established under The University of Hong Kong LKS Faculty of Medicine (HKUMed) and dedicated to managing and facilitating international-standard clinical trials on new drugs medical devices and medical technologies. HKU-CTC offers long-term development opportunities to passionate talents who are devoted to a career in the clinical trial profession.
Clinical data management and analysis is a core process in any clinical research project and is subject to stringent international standards guidelines and regulations such as CDISC (SDTM/ADaM). HKU-CTCs Data Management and Medical Statistics Unit is seeking talents who are interested/experienced in practising the data science/statistics profession in clinical research.
Main Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with a team of biostatisticians and data management specialists on data standards statistical programming and database development;
- Support study setup for various data acquisition systems including electronic Case Report Form (eCRF) design and EDC study configuration;
- Develop programming specifications deliverables and related documentations including CDISC SDTM and ADaM datasets/analysis files and tables listings and figures (TLFs) for statistical analysis and/or regulatory submission;
- Develop data validation review and reporting tools to support ongoing data management;
- Perform quality assurance and quality control for all data management and programing activities; and
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree or above in Data Science Statistics Biostatistics Information Technology or related disciplines;
- Solid knowledge in SAS and R programming for data manipulation analysis and reporting;
- Relevant experience in data management and statistical/database programming are added advantages;
- Strong ability and willingness to learn technical skills;
- Good interpersonal problem-solving and project management skills;
- Detail-minded self-motivated and able to work as a good team player with positive service attitude; and
- Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (proficiency in Putonghua is an advantage).
The appointment will be made on a two-year fixed-term full-time contract to commence as soon as possible with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered together with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme at 10% of basic salary. Other benefits include annual leave and medical benefits.
