Role description:

This role will form an integral part of our Global Excellence Centre (GEC) Arcadis centralized and fully integrated project delivery group. Our GEC is made up of more than 3000 talented individuals working in offices across Philippines Romania and India providing Capability Capacity and a Competitive Advantage across a wide array of unique projects and services in collaboration with our global businesses.

Arcadis Romania office is seeking a Architect I (Senior Designer) with proven experience in mission-critical or data center projects to join our growing Industrial and Mission Critical team in Romania.

This role will play a key technical leadership function within the Data Center team supporting global project delivery while ensuring design quality code compliance and coordination excellence.

The successful candidate will combine strong architectural judgment technical rigor and digital proficiency (Revit/BIM) to deliver high-performance facilities in fast-paced highly regulated environments.

Role accountabilities:

• Be a key contributor to project success by completing assigned tasks on time within budget ensuring accuracy and compliance with Arcadis requirements and relevant national standards and codes of practice while always aiming to exceed client expectations.
• Duties may include but are not limited to electronic or manual drafting developing sketches conducting research and data collection preparing presentations report writing constructing models performing calculations basic analysis mapping rendering and assembling image boards.
• Preparation of sections and details producing design and construction documents. Revises and updates drawings as requested by others.
• Responsible for managing technical aspects of smaller and/or complex tasks or components of larger tasks.
• Work to ensure maximum internal stakeholder satisfaction championing care and proactively working with internal stakeholders (GEC Team Lead/Task Manager GEC Project Leads from other disciplines (MEP & Structures) and US & Canada Project Leads/Reviewers/Approvers.
• Can execute or assists in Design tasks independently from Lead (US/ Canada) Office.
• Can initiate concept ideas and later produce technically feasible general arrangement layouts and detailed drawings as per codes and design requirements using BIM (SD to CD).
• Can also execute Design Management tasks during Construction phase up to Building Use Stages (Concept to CD).
• Develop and maintain a good understanding of the services delivered by Arcadis and the industry sector to facilitate personal networking and to consolidate personal and company credibility in the industry.
• Collaborate closely with colleagues from other countries primarily in the North America and Europe.
• As we adopt a One Team approach clear and consistent communication is essential to maintaining the quality and integrity of our project outcomes.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelors degree or equivalent in an architecture related discipline.
• Achieved Licensed status or equivalent.
• 7 years of experience with a proven track record in Data Center and mission critical facility design including large scale campuses and complex multi-phase developments.
• Strong interpersonal skills are essential to this role.
• Revit project experience is a must.
• Experience working with an international team and global delivery models.
• Proficient or have knowledge in Design Autocad Sketchup Revit Adobe Suite Lumion 3D Max
• Excellent in communication skills and strong attention to detail.
