As a Dealer Business Partner you will play a crucial role in growing and developing their businesses.
Their impressive range of motorcycles as New Zealands number 1 brand includes ATVs SxS and a championship-winning motocross range. They also have a world-leading small engine and power equipment range. As the largest engine manufacturer in the world Honda has a reputation for building high-performing power equipment suitable for contractors and private owners.
About the role
In this commercial role you will be responsible for representing selling and promoting Hondas products to strengthen their brand and increase market share. Your focus will be on achieving maximum sales penetration in line with strategic and budgetary performance requirements and supporting the Dealers to optimise their performance.

This is a field-based commercial role and will involve some domestic travel to engage directly with Dealer partners across the North Island.
About you
We are seeking an individual with 4 years of sales experience preferably in commercial (B2B) sales. You must be comfortable navigating business and financial discussions have strong negotiation skills and the ability to maintain personal relationships through challenges.
You should also have demonstrated making change within a Dealer network or customer base to change or develop a business model.
The ideal candidate will have a partnership approach good communication skills and the confidence to address tough conversations and drive change.
A clear and articulate communication style good negotiation skills and a commitment to meeting Hondas brand requirements and operating standards are essential.
You will work closely with the Group Sales Manager to understand the Strategic Plan for the business and how that directly relates to the performance of the Dealer Network.
You must be proficient in reading interpreting and analysing financial statements and have a firm grasp on margins pricing and product profitability concepts.
Competent computer skills including financial modelling and a working knowledge of CRM are also required.
In working with your Dealer customers you will encounter a variety of stakeholder personalities business objectives staffing and maturity of systems and processes. Demonstrable understanding of the business planning/review model within small to medium-sized businesses and exposure or understanding of a distributor or re-seller network with appropriate industry experience is desired.
