The Role:
This is a Wellington-based Business Development role inside out Technology division.
You will be responsible for building maintaining and converting senior relationships into long-term commercial outcomes. You will understand how government procurement works how panels operate and how to position early to influence outcomes before opportunities formally go to market.
This is not a passive role. You will be expected to create momentum open doors and drive new business.
- You will build and strengthen relationships across central government agencies and key stakeholders.
- You will identify and develop new opportunities across managed services infrastructure and critical technology environments.
- You will position ECL as a trusted partner by engaging early in the decision-making process and shaping opportunities before they reach formal procurement stages.
- You will work closely with internal teams to develop solutions and convert opportunities into long-term contracts.
- You will take ownership of your pipeline and be accountable for delivering commercial result
- You will also play a pivotal role in onboarding and account managing the relationship. Ensuring our operations have the capabilities and delivery to maintain the work
About You:
- You will have a proven track record of selling into New Zealand government agencies.
- You will have a strong understanding of procurement frameworks panels and how decisions are made within the Wellington market.
- You will bring experience across technology services infrastructure or complex solution sales.
- You will have an established network and the ability to activate it.
- You will be commercially driven confident in front of senior stakeholders and comfortable taking ownership of outcomes.
